This silent film is comprised of excerpts from the Donald W. Smith family home movies. Smith owned and operated an apple orchard in Barre, Vermont, known as Windy Wood Orchard and Windy Wood Farm. Scenes are mainly of the care and harvesting of apples grown in this orchard by family members and perhaps other workers. Included are planting of new apple trees, scene of the bee hives housed near the orchard, and haying. Most of the scenes have to do with the picking and packaging of the apples for shipment.
