This digital copy is Reel 6 of 6 of a set of 8mm films taken by Norman and Eleanor Appelget of their property in Northfield, Vermont, which they named Norel Farm. The footage for the entire set of reels spans the years between the 1950's into the 1970's. The Cape-style house shown in the film is the second oldest in Northfield and was built by Ezekiel and Dinah Robinson before 1816. An index sheet to this reel's film content was created by Eleanor Appelget. Content of this video includes activities on the farm in all seasons, both work-related and recreational, and several minutes of scenes at Expo 67 held in Montréal, Québec, in 1967. Also shown are several minutes of a Fourth of July auction at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Northfield. The final scene is of the Norel Farm house in the winter of 1970-71.
